Have you always wanted to try birding but don't know where to start? Join one of our birding teams for a fun day of birding at nature locations across the RGV for Frontera Audubon's Birdathon 2013! It's for a great cause!\n\n What is Birdathon?\n\n Birdathon 2013 is a one-day\, 12-hour event\, held on Saturday\, February 23\, 2013. The event is like a walk-a-thon\, but instead of collecting pledges for miles walked\, Birdathon participants collect pledges for finding and counting bird species across the Rio Grande Valley. It's a competitive and educational event for any level of birdwatcher and a fun way to help protect birds and habitat! You can join one of our teams\, organize your own team\, or count independently. You can also participate simply by making a Birdathon donation!\n\n Who can participate?\n\n Anyone can participate: expert birders\, casual birdwatchers and beginners too.\n\n How do I sign up?\n\n Several teams are led by experienced birders and are a great way to make new friends and connect with other bird lovers.
