DESCRIPTION:Strokes are a leading cause of adult long-term disability and the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. More than 58% of Americans don't know if they are at risk for stroke and one in three Americans really don't even know what to look for as a warning sign or symptom of a stroke. Join the Be-Fast 5K to help raise stroke awareness and prevention.\n\nBE-FAST 5K will feature a competitive and noncompetitive registration package.\n\n-The competitive registration will include: Registration\, Timing Shoe Tag\,  Performance Dry Fit T-Shirt and customized participation  medal.\n\n-The noncompetitive registration will include: Registration\,  Performance Dry Fit T-Shirt and customized participation  medal\n\n-There is also an option to purchase a BE STROKE AWARE Performance Dry Fit T-Shirt only\, for those who are interested in attending but not participating in the run.\n\n-Children 12 and under are free (Please note  children must be registered participants to receive a shirt and participation medal)\n\nPacket Pickup:\n\nDate: Friday May 19\, 2017\n\nTime: 4pm -7pm\n\nLocation: Weslaco Regional Rehabilitation Hospital 906 S.
