Right to Live: Natural Wildlife presented by Muji Naqvi.
The Rio Grande Valley's location in deep South Texas makes it an ideal setting for countless creatures. This river delta sits at a transition between temperate and tropical climates which yields the perfect conditions for multiple habitats and millions of species of plants and animals. It is also the beginning of a bottleneck for migratory birds and butterflies who would otherwise have to fly over the Gulf of Mexico. The biodiversity of this region is unlike any other in America, with endemic and migratory species flourishing in the unique ecosystem. In these photographs, Pakistani artist Mujtaba Naqvi brings to life many of the over 500 species of birds that have been documented in the region.
