RELAY FOR LIFE OF THE MID-VALLEY
Relay For Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and has been going strong in the Mid-Valley area for over 15 years. Each and every event across the nation focuses on CELEBRATING those battling and surviving cancer, REMEMBERING those who have lost the battle, and FIGHTING BACK to raise funds for a cure for this disease.
Relay For Life is an overnight event where teams are formed from businesses, clubs, schools, churches, families, friends, and service organizations, with the goal of keeping a member of their respective teams walking around the track all night long.
Team members campout and walk throughout the night to signify the journey of anyone touched by cancer and the hope for an eventual cure as the sun rises and the event concludes. It is truly an incredible event that brings the community together for a great cause.
In its history, the Relay For Life of McAllen has raised over $1 MILLION dollars for the amazing research and numerous local services provided by the American Cancer Society!
