DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Billing Specialist/Clerk

Position: DME Billing Specialist

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced DME specialist to assist with the daily operations of our DME department while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include assisting patients with durable medical equipment and supplies, verifying insurance benefits, preparing patient documentation, explaining insurance coverage, documenting information in patient charts, submitting insurance claims, maintaining logs, and answering phone calls.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in DME required.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Training for this position will be provided at our McAllen office before transitioning to the Weslaco location.
