Responsibilities & Qualifications:

We are seeking a General Manager (GM) to join our dynamic team in our South Texas Hospital location. As the GM, you will be at the nexus of sales, services, and production to drive success. You’ll empower and lead your teams to drive continuous improvement and weave the ImageFIRST® Way culture into the fabric of this location. You’ll have seven major responsibilities.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Prioritizing Safety: Demonstrate care for Associates on and off the job.
    • Ensure training and execution of effective safety programs incl. compliance, certifications (related to: DOT, OSHA, EPA, HLAC, etc.) equipment status, replacement scheduling, etc.
    • Maintain efficient reporting of incidents within lag-time guidelines.
    • Confirm vehicle safety with rigorous adherence to Smith System principles for company vehicles.
Engaging Associates: Demonstrate active listening to understand, record, and resolve issues and concerns, with an emphasis on public accountability.
    • Foster a positive, plant-wide, environment for Associate-focused engagement including through respectful interactions, effective communications, coaching, development, recognition, etc.
    • Nurture management-focused engagement by ensuring all management levels actively engage their chain of influence.
    • Ensure all manager level roles provide individual and group opportunities for effective communications and a focus on common goals, key issues, and problem-solving.
Hitting Numbers: Understand objectives needed to hit targets and maintain a bottom-line orientation that translates to meeting, and exceeding, financial commitments and KPI targets.
    • Drive overall site management productivity, operations, and profitability. Monitor work and results while tracking overall site performance.
    • Use key site financial metrics, trends, and insights to ensure effective site operations and growth. Identify opportunities for sound business decisions (e.g., new products, contract (re)negotiations).
    • Communicate regularly, and ensure alignment, on the locations’ business goals, progress, challenges, and support needed with the Assistant General Manager (AGM), Regional Managers, Senior Leadership Team, and/or Functional leaders.
Retaining Customers: Maintain strong NPS with clear action plans for at risk customers.
    • Recognize and manage relationships between ImageFIRST®, customer perspectives, and profitability.
    • Instill the value of customer excellence as a key cultural attitude/focus across site/support teams.
    • Drive service management in collaboration with AGM and District Service Manager (DSM). Specifically, ensure on-going/periodic review of route logistics for efficiency, proper Customer Advocate relationship management, client servicing, and consistent delivery of customer service.
Driving Sales: Support and integrate local TBMs into broader teams.
    • Support local customer success efforts to drive local sales/installs.
    • Partner with sales team to negotiate contracts that balance growth/profitability with results and services clients' value.
Ensuring Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence by finding a better way every day with strong initial emphasis on production.
    • Build strong connections between production and maintenance teams. Ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained equipment is at the heart of a productive operation.
    • Support plant and delivery (e.g., maintain, review, and manage vendors, inventory, etc.). Also manage, monitor, and report on budgets, scheduling, and QC across plant production activities.
    • Improve competitive market position by effectively defining, planning, scheduling, and allocating plant resources to meet production goals incl. initiating plans and/or processes to minimize costs and maximize existing resources.
Developing Talent: Cultivate talent with diligent feedback, coaching, recruiting, and retention.
    • Ensure HR function excites, attracts, recruits, onboards, develops, and retains the best talent.
    • Partner with HR to drive effective talent reviews, succession planning, and pipeline development.
    • Create, coach, and lead high-performing teams. Develop AGM/Managers including through effective goal setting, metrics monitoring, feedback, and selective training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7-15 years of similar work experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or route-based settings.
  • Clear P&L ownership.
  • Functional experience in sales, service and production/operations.
  • Analytical problem solving (e.g., P&L, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, inventory management, etc.).
  • Critical thinking (e.g., insights/trends, see ‘end’ from beginning, solving issues amidst ambiguity, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree preferred.
  • Spanish language ability is highly preferred.
  • Relocatable for future assignments of greater responsibility and career growth.
