  • Answer inbound calls and patient portal chats from guarantors/patients in a professional, helpful, and respectful manner that gives the caller an excellent experience.

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments and procedures with patients.
  • Extensive experience in maintaining patient files and updating electronic health records.
  • Managing inquiries and relaying messages about scheduling, referrals, and prescription refills.
  • Ability to verify medical insurance eligibility and benefits via telephone or provider web portals.
  • Assist in obtaining pcp referrals and authorizations.
  • Educate guarantors/patients about their financial responsibility for the services rendered by the healthcare provider with a consultative approach.
  • Collecting co-payments, coinsurances, deductibles, and/or patient balances and entering information into patients' EMR.
  • Educate guarantors about their payment options and expectations to pay within the designated time frame per policy.
  • Maintaining an office supply inventory and replenishing stock in a timely manner.
  • Assist callers in troubleshooting technical difficulties on the patient portal.
  • Documents all communication appropriately for every account level interaction.
  • Perform outbound calls as requested.
  • Complete special projects as requested.
  • Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all guarantor and patient information at all times as required by the HIPAA, PCI, FDCPA regulations.
  • Understands and adheres to all policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, relevant to their area of operation
  • Informs management of any operational issues impacting workflow or patient satisfaction in a timely manner (e.g. technology issues or any issue that does not allow the job function to be performed).

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)
  • Computer skills: 1 year (Required)
