The Operations Support Coordinator provides hands-on operational support to the Operations Systems & Maintenance Manager by assisting with production support, inventory movement, shipping and receiving, quality inspections, and manufacturing systems. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily operations between the Mercedes headquarters and the El Paso manufacturing facility to help maintain efficient production flow and meet customer commitments.
The Operations Support Coordinator is a key member of the PSI (Production Support & Inventory) team, which provides cross-functional support across multiple departments throughout the organization. While this role requires flexibility to assist wherever operational needs arise, the department's primary focus is supporting production to ensure first-quality boots are completed, packed, and shipped to our customers in a timely manner. Team members must be adaptable, willing to multitask, and committed to helping the entire operation succeed.
This is a hands-on position that combines physical production support with the opportunity to learn the company's production and inventory systems. As training progresses, the employee will become a valuable resource by assisting with inventory management, locating products, production tracking, and operational reporting. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, eager to learn, and enjoys working in both a production environment and on computer-based systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Production & Warehouse Support
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming shipments from the El Paso manufacturing facility.
• Prepare, organize, and stage outgoing shipments for transport between facilities.
• Load, unload, and move pallets, boxes, materials, and finished goods throughout the production and warehouse areas.
• Cut and groove insoles as needed to ensure materials are available for the El Paso facility to complete assigned production orders.
• Coordinate outbound shipments with Distribution Center leadership to ensure timely movement of materials and finished goods.
• Assist with stamping, ear-pulling, pallet preparation, and other production support activities as required.
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient production environment.
• Support daily production activities to help maintain workflow and meet production schedules.
Inventory & Quality Support
• Assist with inventory organization, cycle counts, and material tracking.
• Verify incoming and outgoing products for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform visual inspections of finished boots and report quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Help locate boots, materials, and production orders using company systems.
• Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or production concerns promptly.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and material accountability.
Operations Systems Support
• Learn and utilize the company's ERP, inventory management, and production tracking systems.
• Assist with entering and maintaining accurate production and inventory information.
• Research order status, locate inventory, and assist with production reporting.
• Become cross-trained to provide backup support for operational systems and inventory tracking.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production, inventory, and shipments.
Team & Operations Support
• Work closely with the Operations Systems & Maintenance Manager to support daily operational priorities.
• Assist with communication regarding inventory transfers, production status, and material movement between the Mercedes and El Paso facilities.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, quality, and administrative teams to help ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of manufacturing and operational objectives.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability and willingness to learn manufacturing software, ERP, and inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or production operations.
• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely load and unload pallets, boxes, and production materials.
• Ability to visually inspect products for quality and accuracy.

Work Environment
• On-site position based in Mercedes, Texas.
• Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to leather materials, machinery, dust, and moderate noise levels.
• Frequent interaction with production employees, warehouse personnel, quality staff, and management.
• Occasional travel to the El Paso manufacturing facility may be required based on operational needs.

Schedule
• Monday – Friday weekends as needed. 40 hours a week plus overtime as needed.
• Shift hours may vary between 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM depending on department assignment.
• Overtime and occasional travel may be required based on production demands.
