COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for Community: Biblioteca Las Americas, 300 Med High Dr., 

Mercedes

 

What: South Texas Independent School District (STISD) is hosting an in-person job fair at the district’s Mercedes complex and inviting the community to attend and learn more about open employment positions within the district. 

 

The district is currently hiring for various positions at campuses and district wide, including the following: 

• Teachers

• Counselors 

• Licensed School Psychologist

• Special Education Teachers

• Classroom Aides

• Bookkeeper

• Bus Drivers

• Child Nutrition Worker

• Custodians (Day/Night)

• Electrician

• HVAC Technician

• Mechanic

• Plumber

In addition to the job fair, the district is also hosting a community COVID-19 vaccine clinic. The clinic will be held at the STISD Biblioteca Las Americas, which is located right next door to the Science Academy gymnasium. The clinic will offer the first-dose of the Pfizer vaccine free of cost to unvaccinated members of the community who want to receive their vaccination. Individuals must be 12 years of age or older to receive the vaccine. For children 18 and under, parents must be present.
