Copy Coordinator

KRGV-TV, the ABC affiliate in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, is currently seeking: Copy Coordinator.

The Copy Coordinator will schedule advertising on our KRGV 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and other platforms as needed. The Copy Coordinator reports to the Traffic/Programming Director. We are the largest news operation in South Texas. Our newscast produces 67 hours of news every week in both English and Spanish.

This position is Full-Time.

Job Description:

• Accurately input commercial instructions for broadcast TV sales orders.
• Ensure commercials are received and downloaded by log deadlines.
• Work positively and professionally with the station sales department, clients, production houses and ad agencies.
• Work closely with station account executives and staff to ensure that all commercial instructions have been received.
• Cross-train with the Traffic/Programming Coordinator to assist in managing all traffic and programming responsibilities.
• Learn the station traffic and programming software, including Wide Orbit.
• Provide additional administrative duties as requested.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Able to input data at a high level with a goal of 100% accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively and independently as part of a team
